Can Gonorrhea just develop if both partners are clean?

by Symptom Advice on December 24, 2010

I have been with my partner for 6 monthes and am positive that me and my partner have been clean, however recently I have developed the symptoms of Gonorrhea. how could this have happened? Why would signs not show up in the past six months? We have been exclusively sexually active with each other this entire time.

You need to get checked. It could be something else. if it's in fact gonnorhea, someone ain't tellin' the truth about exclusivity.

No they can't just develop. You said you have symptoms but you didn't say you tested positive for it. they could also be symptoms of other things. if it is gonorrhea, then someone cheated and didn't use protection.

Not to my knowledge. ask you doctor, that's the best course of action.

NO…………if you, indeed, have Gonorrhea, then ONE of you hasn't been "exclusive". however, you said that you had "developed the symptoms" of Gonorrhea……..if you haven't been diagnosed by a Dr. then you may instead have something else….maybe a yeast infection or some other non STD problem. You need to get diagnosed….and if YOU haven't been unfaithful….well….someone else has.
Hope your test is negative !
