Can someone with no symptoms of STD's suddenly turn symptomatic?

by Symptom Advice on March 26, 2011

I've read thatt certain common STD's such as trich, chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc, can be asymptomatic for some. can certain changes in environment or foods cause someone who was asymptomatic but latently infected to suddenly show symptoms? can a yeast infection trigger other symptoms from these STD's?

Food and stress can absolutely be a trigger. Salty, sugary foods are the most likely culprits, so cutting them out of your diet can be helpful.

A yeast infection is tricky because it can also mimic certain STDs, such as HPV. to my knowledge, yeast infections do not trigger the emergence of other STDs, but a yeast infection signals that there is an imbalance in your personal health. this imbalance could, in turn, trigger the appearance of previously hidden STD symptoms.
