I have ulcerative colitis and have been very well off for about 2 months until today. I got a cold and have been experiencing bad symptoms. Could this be because my medicine (immune suppressant) is focusing on curing my cold and not fighting my colitis??? help!
You think your med is curing your cold??? I don't think you understand what an immunosuppressant does. it suppresses your immune system. SUPPRESSES. It's not an antiviral, it's not an antibiotic, it's not an antifungal and it's not an antihelminth.
You're having a hard time fighting off the cold BECAUSE you take an immunosuppressant! Do some online research about the drugs you take.
