Genital herpes is an ailment that is transmitted from one person to another through sexual contact. this type of herpes is extremely contagious and is widely found all over the world. Genital herpes is caused by HSV1 and HSV2 viruses and is found more among women than in men as the genital area is warmer in women than in men.

The Herpes Simplex Virus-2 is a much more common sexually transmitted disease and leads to the outbreak on the genitals or the genital area of the men. Once transmitted the virus stays in the body of the affected individual throughout the life in a dormant way until an outbreak is triggered. Some of the male symptoms of genital herpes are itching of penis or genital area, outbreak of bumps or blisters on penis, swollen lymph nodes in groin, burning sensation while urinating, fever, headache, fatigue, dizziness, sore or tired limbs etc. Genital herpes can be treated through various methods:

Diet: A healthy and nutritional diet is the best way to combat genital herpes. The food that are being consumed should be rich in vitamins particularly vitamin B and C, minerals, zinc, iron, lysine etc. The daily diet should be such that it should aim at the strengthening of the immune system.

Regular intake of apples, apricots, papayas, figs, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes, sprouts, beetroot, mangoes, dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables is a must for the patients. Sweets, sugars, alcohol and junk food should be totally reduced. Smoking needs to be avoided totally.

Olive oil: Take one full cup of olive oil. Now cook the olive oil in a pot and add some amount of bee wax and lavender oil to it. cool the mixture and spread on the herpes. this is one of the most effective remedies to herpes.

Echinacea: Intake the extract of the herb on a regular basis. Echinacea is popular all over the globe for its ability to strengthen the immune system of the body. Hence regular consumption of the herb helps the body to fight off any kind of virus and keep the herpes outbreaks at bay.
