Is there any way to help reduce the symptoms of Asthma While exercising?

by Symptom Advice on January 31, 2011

I have mild-moterate asthma and when I exercise it gets MUCH worse… (obvioslly) I take a inhaler before i exercise but it doesnt help all that much it just helps a bit. Is there ANYTHING that can reduce the symptoms? Oh and if it matters i'm 13. thank you in advance! Kayla5654

you should see your doctor about it because you may need to be on a medication you take everyday and then take albuterol 30min before you exercise.

hi kayla it corrine girl about how she dresses

for ur question my friend had the same issue . odd huh , but all she did was cardio exercises and now she can work out with out issues

If you're not using one already, try using a spacer with your inhaler. I guess they help you get the medicine better. just make sure you use on that fits the inhaler snugly. the one in the link below is kind of like the one I use.

You're right in using your inhaler before you exercise, good job! if the spacer doesn't help, or if you're already using one, talk to your doctor about other options.

Best of luck!

I have a friend who has asthma and he goes swimming which is a good exercise if you have asthma.
