Is there anything I can do over the weekend to relieve bladder/urinary tract infection symptoms?

This is the worst I've had and I have to work today, so I'm willing to do just about anything to help with this! thanks!

Yes! You can buy cystitis relief tablets or you could just get some cheap alka seltzers and take them. Take one in water about 4 times a day if you are feeling really bad. they contain the same ingredients as the cysitis relief capsules but are cheaper and you are more likely to just have them in your cupboard. Because they are alkaline they will reduce the acid in your urine making it less acidic and painful.

When you are at home drink lots and lots of water to flush out the infection.

If you have painful stinging in your ureatha, after you go to the loo have some luke warm water with some salt disolved in and dab it around the area – it really relieves the stinging.

I used to suffer from cysitis often and found the alka seltzer really useful. My sister also says that cranberry tincture is also very good.

Drink a lot of water and take alkylanating agents eg Cymalon or Canesten Oasis if you have them (3 times daily for 2 days- you can get them without a prescription).
