Malaria is caused by a parasite species of plasmodium. it enters body through musquito bite. Multiplies in liver and attaches itself to the red blood corpuscles. Symptoms are high fever with shivering on alternate days. Effects are mainly rupture of red corpuscles, enlargement of liver and spleen. Cured effectively with chloroquin compound. Prevention by eradicating musquitos and avoiding bites by using citrinell creams (Odomos) and wearing a musquito net. Vaccines in experimental stage.
