I've been suffering prostate problems for almost 2 1/2 years. I've been to my MD office too many times including a Urologist.
I started with urination frequency 2 1/2 years ago and I was referred to a Urologist. he did DRE twice in 4 months 2 times (normal) and 2 times PSA, they were both also in normal range. he told me if the PSA go up at next blood test and he will do a biopsy but 1 year later, the PSA actually went down. both my Docs think my prostate was inflamed (prostatitis). It's been on & off with frequencies, little discomfort in the perineum (no pain) and 2 times my urine stream was weak a day after sex (I think it was swollen) and went away after a few days. And one time in 2 years (in the last 3 months), all the symptoms seemed to be gone completely for 3 months.It's now back and It's been almost 2 weeks now with discomforts in the perineum (again, no pain) and frequencies, I can feel it's swollen but my urine stream is OK. I've been so sad and worry if it is cancer of the prostate. I've been trying to convince myself that it was just the prostatitis because if it was cancer then there is no symptoms, and if there is a symptom, it won't be on & off and it will at least make me have trouble urinating until treatment started or extreme pain. please let me know. thank you.
If ur Docs cant help, i dont think people on yahoo answers will be able to. I dont think House is gona be lurking around on here.
