What are symptoms of a bladder infection?

by Symptom Advice on April 13, 2011

The symptoms are pain and burning on urination
Difficulty starting your stream
Some people feel a pulling sensation in the pubic area
Feel like you have to go all the time and when you do you only dribble.
Bladder spasms

You really need to drink 8 glasses of water a day to maintain proper bladder function. that will help wash out bacteria that grows from holding in urine.

You will need to see your doctor and probably give a urine sample at his or her office. the doctor will prescibe an
antibiotic and if you are having spasms in your bladder area the doctor can prescribe something for that too.
Make sure to take a list of medication you are taking (if you are) and any allergies to medications you may have with you to the doctor.

Cranberry juice is good to drink when you have a urinary tract infection. Also, watermelon is excellent to help you urinate.

Take your medication as the doctor orders and do not stop taking the antibiotic until you finish it, even if you are feeling better.

I'd say you feel better in 3 to 4 days of increased fluids and the right medication.

Good luck to you and take care!

you should see your doctor if you are having any pain or burning when you have to pee. i am not a doctor but i would suggest that you should go to your doctor and discuss this with them and getting over any infection is based on when you start the meds. i hope this helps some.
