Ask your vet. every dam should be taken to her vet for a postpartum check-up 12 – 24 hours after delivery. she also needs an injection of oxytocin to make sure she expels everything from her uterus and it returns to normal size. especially important if a dam is owned by someone without a clue as to what they're doing!
To start: Take her temperature daily for a week.
