What are the symptoms of a bad gull bladder?

by Symptom Advice on February 11, 2011

I'm having alot of pain right below my right chest, and above the rib cage, I know this is where your liver is, and also your gull bladder. I am diagnosed with having steotosis and fibrosis of the liver, but I think it is the gull bladder that is hurting. I vommit alot and have sharp pains in this area. The doctors can't find anything but a fatty inflamed liver. could it be my gull bladder?

WELL, I HAVE GALLSTONES. WHEN I GET AN "ATTACK" IT HURTS REALLY BAD. THEY SAY THE PAIN OF a GALLBLADDER ATTACK IS EQUAL TO THE PAIN OF a HEART ATTCK, EXCEPT YOUR HEART DOESN'T STOP. MINE HURTS SO BAD DURING AN ATTACK THAT IT USUALLY LASTS FOR 2 DAYS AND THEN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER, IT'S SORE.

Your gull bladder is located under your left wing.

Sounds to me you have a bile duct obstruction. It is when the bile from the gall bladder creates a (stone like) and blocks the way to the liver. Liver ususally) does not cause pain but gallbladder does. See a GI Dr I am sure he will get an ultrasound ASAP because simple galllbladder problems are easy to fix THey just take out the gallbladder. If you can't get to a Dr GO to the ER you seriously need this cheked. I was hospitalized earlier this summer for gallbladder problems

Acute cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder that develops over hours, usually as a result of cystic duct obstruction by a gallstone. Symptoms include right upper quadrant pain and tenderness, sometimes accompanied by fever, chills, nausea, and vomiting. Abdominal ultrasound detects the gallstone and sometimes the associated inflammation. Treatment usually involves antibiotics and cholecystectomy.
Symptoms of Gallbladder disease:
* Abdominal fullness or gas
* Abdominal pain that is:
# Severe
# Located on the right side (right upper quadrant) or in the upper middle of the abdomen (epigastric)
# Decreased over 12 to 18 hours in uncomplicated cases
# Recurrent or similar to pain in past
# Occurring after meals
# Worse during deep intake of breath
# Radiating to back or below the right shoulder blade
# Worse after eating or drinking fatty foods or fluids
* Fever
* Nausea and vomiting
* Heartburn
* Chills and shaking
* Chest pain under the breastbone
Reduce fat and oils in your diet. Take abdominal ultrasound.
Please see the web pages for more details on Gallbladder disease.

the usualy symptoms are a pain in the upper right abdomen near the rib cage which can move to the upper back too, nausea and vomiting can occur..large and fatty meals may also trigger an attack of pain, your pains might occur at the same time of day but less frequently than once a week.look for these too.dark urine, or lighter poop
your heartbeat may become rapid and blood pressure may drop abruptly these could be signs of an infection .it really does sound like you have something wrong with your gull bladder

I'm affraid its the liver, its to high up for the gull bladder. I just had mine out, I know the pain.
