What are the symptoms of kidney trouble?

by Symptom Advice on February 2, 2011

I'm experiencing difficulty in urinating and i often want to urinate almost every minute. I'm thinking that maybe i have a kidney trouble.

but i think you better test for Diabetes too!

This sounds like a bladder or urinary tract infection.
Symptoms are:
frequency or urination
urge to urinate
when you urinate only a few drops or mls come out
pain, burning and stinging on urination
blood in your urine (rose colour)
lower back pain
lower abdo pain above your pubic bone
chills/fever/aching joints

This is easily treated with antibiotics.

The tendency is to stop drinking water so you dont have to go as often but this makes it worse.
Make a doctors appointment
Drink as much water as you can – I mean lots!
This helps to flush out the bugs, also to dilate the urine so it doesnt sting too much.

It does not usually get better if you don't get it treated and
It can get worse with the infection tracking up your urethra, to the bladder and into your kidneys.

It is usually caused by bacteria being introduced into your urethra (pee hole) by poor hygeine, wiping back to front after using the toilet.
Other factors which contribute are having sex and not peeing after (the pee helps flush out any bacteria that may have been introduced through friction/movement) and being dehydrated.

It does sound typically like a UTI but could be something else.
Better get to the doctor.
It is hell to sit and wait at the surgery when you need to pee so bad!!

Drinking Coca Cola and urinate it as it is

Getting advice over the net is not good.better consult a specialist.

As far as you question is concerned:if there is anything wrong with your kidneys…there is sort of swelling on back near kidneys. There will be pain as well. And if you are forced to urinate so much it may be due to larger sugar contents in your food. Excessive urinating could be caused by some medicine you are taking to control High blood pressure.
It is also body's response to High blood pressure as well.

kidney failure can be silent and an indicator is very low urine output. you dont sound like you have kidney failure, sounds like you have irritation making you wanna pee.

Sounds like a typical UTI, urinary tract infection , as already mentioned.

Especially if it's only been a few days.

Cranberry juice will help with the stinging, as will sodi bic in a drink BUT it wont be cured until you get a course of antibiotics which you will need to see a doctor to get.

Do this NOW, dont let it go any longer or further problems may develop. Even if it means going to the local hospital after hours.

And drink copious amounts of water, sit in the shower with a two litre bottle of water and just drink , drink, drink,

Jo
