What medicine can I use to treat HPV (human papillomavirus)? Symptoms are genital warts and cervical dysplasia?

Girll….first of all i have to say ur fukkkkd with that std. There is no cure to that , they say that the only thing that can make the virus go away is eating well n having a healthy diet by exercising that you immune system will fight the virus. I have a friend that has this and she was debasted when she found out she felt like it was the end of the world hpv comes in many ways and can lead to cervical cancer there is certain types i think its type 6, 11 16 and 18 the ones tha cause cervical cancer the only way to cure you from this if it leads to cancer is to remove your uterus but you wont be able to have kids. SO your best bet is too exercise and eat well so your immune system fights the virus and you wont get outbreaks…hope that helped!

Hey, don't listen to the fist two, no brains. There is not any medicine that can treat it. I have it so I know. A doctor may be able to give you something for the warts, but just to relieve the discomfort. I have just been diagnosed with precancerous cells in my cervix. They will be giving me treatment. I know it is a bummer, but it is definitely not the end of the world. just take good care of yourself. Exercise and eat healthy. BEST wishes to you.

talk to your doctor holy ****

If you're sure you have HPV, or think that you might have, go straight to your doctor and get checked out. They're the ones who will be able to tell you exactly how they can help, and what your options are.
Reading posts on here from people who aren't medically trained and have no idea what they're talking about (apart from the poster who actually has HPV) will most likely only make you unnecessarily scared.

Al the best.

Ok, please don't listen to people commenting that you are going to get cervical cancer if you have a certain type of high risk HPV. is it possible, yes. But, it has been documented that women who catch the symptoms of HPV early (cervical dysplasia) can be treated and beat it all together.

As for medicine to treat HPV, there is none really. If you have warts they may be able to give you a cream to help that. But the cervical cell changes can not be cured by medicines at this point in time. But, you can start treating your body better. I had cervical dysplasia at one point due to HPV. Once I found out I started a few different good vitamins to boost my immune system and started eating better. The next time I went for another biopsy it was all clear!

If you search on google there has actually been research done on taking green tea capsules to fight HPV symptoms. Things like that which boost your immune system will allow your system to fight the HPV since it is a virus. I have taken a really good multivitamin, garlic in pill form (anti-viral) and extra folic acid. I will probably start taking green tea as soon as I can get to the vitamin store again. Good luck and be strong. You're not the only one.

find some answer at some hpv support site

Nothing over-the-counter, you will have to see your doctor. There is treatment options, however warts like other viruses are considered in curable. Reason is that if you burn a wart off 5 years from now it may reemerge. So as a general rule, they are not considered curable. Even if they are treated and never return. The sooner they are treated the less likely they return.

see your doctor, condylox can be prescribed but it works slowly, liquid nitrogen works VERY well. as for cervical dysplasia, i'm sorry i don't know.

the strains of HPV that cause warts are different than the ones that cause cervical cancer. the warts are only a cosmetic issue (in most instances) and can be taken off by your doctor in a variety of ways. symptoms of warts are fairly obvious- you just get weird bumps down there that are not ingrown hairs and are then diagnosed as being genital warts after examination by your doctor.

as for the dysplasia, that is diagnosed with a pap test first, to see if there are abnormalities present. there is an HPV test that can be administered, and there is a procedure called the colposcopy that involves putting an acidic solution on your cervix and then plucking off tissue for examination (the solution is to see the affected cells better).

the treatments for high risk HPV (the kind that causes cervical dysplasia and cancer) are surgical. there is one called the LEEP that is very effective and relatively easy to do. it involves giving you some pain reliever shots in the cervix (only the first couple hurt, because after that, the pain reliever spreads across the cervix and you can't feel the next injections), followed by use of a red hot loop (hot from the electrical current in it) to scrape affected cells from the cervix. it smells like burning skin and that is the most disturbing part, to me anyway.

so, as i said, for warts, they'll give you various treatments. these include cutting the warts off (happened to me), creams, freezing, and lasers, among others i'm sure.

as for the dysplasia, it usually goes away on its own in women under 30, but not always. it's very important for all women to get their paps so that abnormalities can be detected. there is no medication for it except leading a healthy lifestyle that will boost your immune system and suppress the virus. there are surgical methods to remove it.
