What problems to share, how much to share with my fiance?

by Symptom Advice on March 3, 2011

They say that men don’t like to hear about our problems cause they feel pressure to give us a solution. I feel it especially stringly from my fiance cause he seems to feel the need to protect me from anything bad that can possibly happen. But all we’re looking for is support, that is we want to hear that they are on our side. so if I’ve got a problem I’m even afraid to tell him cause he gets all agitated. But not telling is like lying. How can I pretend that everything’s fine when it’s not?

Like I got this health issue that I need to do more research about before I even know what to say. (Uterine fibroids) I will be fine, I’m not terminally ill or anything, but I’m sure he will freak out. It also concerns chilbearing, so I feel I must tell right away. Guys, what do you think?of course I’ll tell him but when? Righ away, cause I’m fretting about it, or later, when I actually know more what’s going on with me?
