Why are rabies symptoms and schizophrenia the same?

by Symptom Advice on January 12, 2011

irritability
excessive movements or agitation
confusion
hallucinations
aggressiveness
bizarre or abnormal thoughts
muscle spasms
abnormal postures
seizures (convulsions)
weakness or paralysis (when a person cannot move some part of the body)
extreme sensitivity to bright lights, sounds, or touch
increased production of saliva or tears
difficulty speaking

They are both neurological in nature – but rabies is a virus, not an internal mental disease. In rabies, you cannot swallow ANY fluids, which is why people/dogs drool, and your brain ultimately becomes overheated and 'boils.' it is a deterioration of the nervous system. you can also die from dehydration. it only takes a few days to die from rabies, but you can live with schizo… your whole life.
