How long does it take for the symptoms of gonorrhea to occur?

My friend says she has a yeast enfection and she thinks its part of an std and shes had sex but it was protected.

Sometimes you don't even get symptoms, so it would be best for her to just go to the doctor and don't wait for the symptoms.
